Well, my worst fears have seen actualization.  I installed new caps into my amp and now the amplifier does not work.  So now I have a problem, I need to troubleshoot my ampifier yet I don’t have an oscilliscope.  I could: A.) Buy a real oscillscope B.) Buy a digital oscilliscope C.) Build an oscilliscope This is going to be interesting.  Between installing the new parts and testing the amp I managed to electrocute myself.  I’m not sure if this has to do with the amp’s lack of operation.  Overall, this is what I feared the most, but it is good and more importantly it is realistic.  I hope to continue working on this guy and fix it eventually.
